Ghetto Shower
Last night I couldn't sleep...Mostly because the last few days my schedule has been way off. I was sick on Tuesday and slept most of the day so I was up all night. Then Wednesday I worked the early shift, if you will, at my work. So I went to sleep at 2am and was up at 5:30am and at work by 6:45am. Not terrible but not ideal. So by the end of the day I was very sleepy and possibly loosing my mind. I came home determined to stay up to get back on my normal schedule. But shortly after dinner I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up around 9pm feeling much better and very awake. Steve and I hung out, watched some movies, you know basic Wednesday night stuff. I finally felt sleepy around 2am again. I went to get into bed, then realized I would be so tired in the morning and I should take my shower that night. So I got out of bed and went to turn the water on so it would be nice a hot for me. We live in a kind of older home. The shower nozzle has been on my list to fix but, with us moving out at the end of the month it has been put on the back burner to everything else. Anyways, I went back in the bathroom and got in the shower. I tried to adjust the shower head, and then it happened. The whole thing came off the wall. With a fairly loud thud I might add. I started panicking, water was shooting out from the wall like Old Faithful. Steve quickly came to the door asking if everything was okay. I quickly responded yes as I frantically tried to piece together the shower head. It was no use. I let him in to see what all the commotion was. He tried to fix it as well, but it was cracked beyond repair. So now we have ghetto shower with water that sprays out of the wall. Tonight we are going to fix it, but last night I had to use the ghetto shower...I felt ridiculous.

Moving
So most of you know, we live in my mom's old place...She decided a year ago to move out with her boyfriend...Which in turn made me responsible for her house?? anyways... Just recently she has decided to move home for myriad of reasons...most of you can probably guess. So Steve and I are getting the boot. We have been looking high and low for a place for us. We haven't had much luck. I did however find an adorable house in Star...yeah that's right Star. It is fairly cheap and super cute. I hope moving will be better for us. It will be a nice change to have a place of our own. But moving is ever so stressful.

New Do

So some of you know. Steve has had very long hair, for a very long time. Ten years plus, I am told. So I have been thinking, the guy needs a change. You can't rock the same style for ever. So last weekend he took the plunge. (I am horrible at this blogging thing...) We were sitting on the couch, I was looking at a magazine and saw some awesome hair styles, then the thought came to me. I asked and he agreed. I was a hair stylist at one time. But I have not done hair in a while, so needless to say I was a bit nervous. And it is my boyfriend, what if I mess him up...Oh goodness, anyways. I got in there and was about half way through and realized that my idea of what I wanted his hair to look like and what it was actually doing were two different things. I started to panic a bit, but I quickly found a solution. His hair turned out better than I had expected. I went with this 50's style greaser look. You know combed back and all debonair like. He looks so different, and so handsome!

Poor Ellie
So our weekend was kind of eventful. I think it kind of all started on Friday. Steve and I have a 2 year old Weimaraner named Ellie. I noticed that her back foot was swollen and red. Upon further inspection I realized, to my dismay, that she had a peice of cheat grass embedded in her foot. (really gross) This happened to us, oh about 2 months ago. 2 surgerys, 4 vet appointments and 500 bucks later we got her all fixed up. Man it was stressful. Not to mention expensive. Can you tell I am an obsessive dog mom? Anyways. I was panicing to say the least. We did't really have the money to fix her and every vet I called wanted payment in full. A-holes. Well, I was freaking, nervously I started cleaning. And to my Delight I found a check....What?? I was so confused. How did we miss a check in the mail? It was from Steve's auto accident a few months back. There wasn't major damage but the other lady was at fault, so he got a settlement. What a life saver. So we got the dog patched up and made some nice plans with our new found fortune...Ha well, not exactly a fortune but it feels like it to us.
